Boxer 'welcomed' by protesters in Lincoln

US Senator Barbara Boxer, a Democrat from the Bay Area, was "welcomed" today by 100-plus protesters at the upscale Orchard Creek Ballroom in Lincoln's Del Webb community.

Boxer was in town to give a speech sponsored by local Democrats.

Several private security officers were on hand and good portion of Sacramento media was in attendance to cover the event.
