Veteran couple honored for patriotic service

Patriots Alfred and Marguerite Buhler were honored as Veterans of the Year by State Sen. Doug LaMalfa, who represents Rocklin and Lincoln. 


Mr. Buhler served in the United States Army from 1963-65 and Ms. Buhler served in the Women’s Army Corps from 1959-66.  The two met in 1965 on the back of an M-60 tank and were soon married three months later.  Each achieved the rank of First Lieutenant before receiving an honorable discharge.
