The Literacy Support Council of Placer County and PALS will hold a Tree Dedication Ceremony at 1 p.m. on June 26 at the Auburn Library to honor our the late Dick Cushman, an ardent adult literacy supporter.
Mr. Cushman was a member of LSC since the late 1980s, when his love of reading led him to become an adult literacy tutor with the PALS program. He also used his business skills to help LSC achieve non-profit status, acquire grants, and set up a budget.
