McClintock opposes bill that would block Tribal casino in Glendale, Ariz

The House of Representatives is scheduled to vote today on a bill to block a proposed Tohono O’odham casino in Glendale, Ariz.

At issue is land in Glendale that the tribe acquired as compensation for a federal project that flooded Tohono O’odham farmlands. The 1986 agreement was known as the Gila Bend Indian Reservation Lands Replacement Act.
