Rocklin Police conducts sweep of 42 registered sex offenders

From the Rocklin Police Department:

On Wednesday, as part of the ongoing effort to make the City
of Rocklin a safer place for its citizens and visitors, the Rocklin
Police Department in collaboration with the Placer County Regional
Auto Theft Task Force (RATTF) and Placer County Special
Investigations Unit (SIU) conducted a sweep of registered sex
offenders who are registered as Rocklin residents.

The purpose of the sweep was to verify that registered sex
offenders living in the City were in compliance with State of California
registration requirements under Section 290 of the California
Penal Code.

During these compliance checks, officers verified registration
requirements of 42 registered sex offenders living in Rocklin.
Nine of the registrants were on probation or parole and officers
searched their residents.
None of the registered sex registrants were arrested during
the sweep.
