West Nile virus prevention in Sheridan and Lincoln

Areas of Sheridan and Lincoln are scheduled for treatment for significant mosquito and West Nile virus activity.  Treatments will be applied in an Ultra Low Volume (ULV) spray by truck-mounted foggers.

Treatment areas:

- Sheridan – Residential areas east of Hwy. 65, from Rolling Hills Rd, south to the Sheridan Cemetery

- Lincoln - Log Decks and surrounding neighborhoods - HWY 65 west to Lakeside Dr south to Nicolaus plus the area from Nicolaus south to Fifth St. between Joiner and Q St.

To view maps of the treatment areas, please visit the District's Bulletins and Announcements page at http://www.placermosquito.org/latest-news/7272012-330-630-am-ground-based-adult-mosquito-treatment-in-sheridan-and-lincoln/

Since several factors affect spraying activities, such as weather and wind conditions, the District encourages Placer residents to check the District website at www.placermosquito.org for any changes to the spraying schedule and accompanying maps of the planned treatment areas.
