Fireworks forbidden in unincorporated Placer County

Placer County officials are reminding residents and visitors that fireworks of any size and type are illegal in unincorporated areas of the county.

The prohibition applies to rural areas not located within the boundaries of an incorporated city or town.  The prohibition applies to unincorporated communities such as Granite Bay, Meadow Vista, Tahoe City and Kings Beach as examples.
