LaMalfa Rural Sheriff legislation signed by Governor

State Senator Doug LaMalfa, who represents Rocklin and Lincoln, announced today that legislation he authored to help the Trinity and Yuba County Sheriffs deal with realignment was signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown. Sponsored by the California State Sheriffs Association, Senate Bill 1254 grants more flexible custodial authority to the two sheriff’s departments in an effort to help them cope with the effects of realignment.
