Linda Park, a Roseville Joint Union High School District board member, announced today that she will not run for the 6th Assembly District seat.
That means the 6th Assembly race comes down to two viable Republican candidates: incumbent Beth Gaines and Sacramento attorney Andy Pugno, the author of California's Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California.
Democrat Reginald Bronner is also running in the heavily GOP district. But with Park dropping out, and therefore reducing the Republican vote to two candidates, Bronner has less of a chance of making the top two candidates and going on to the General Election in November.
