The Sierra Sun reports its teaming up with the North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce to host a candidate forum for local Placer county-specific races, prior to the start of early voting.
The Oct. 12 forum will feature three races:
• One seat on the Tahoe City Public Utility District
• One seat on the North Tahoe Public Utility District
• Two seats on the Truckee Tahoe Airport District
Each candidate will have a 2-minute opening statement; after that, a moderator will begin asking questions of various candidates, and their responses will be timed to a 2-minute maximum.
Questions will come from both those submitted beforehand from residents to the Sierra Sun, as well as others crafted from Sierra Sun staff.
