Thunder Valley Casino Resort to Conduct Traditional Chinese Blessing of New “Red Lantern” Asian Restaurant

Thunder Valley Casino Resort will conduct the traditional Chinese Hoi Gong ceremonial blessing of its new Red Lantern Asian restaurant today. The rebranded restaurant, formerly known as Koi Palace, serves many of the same authentic Cantonese dishes that have made it a past winner of Sacramento Magazine and KCRA A-List’s Best Chinese.

The ceremony will begin with brief remarks by C.J. Graham, General Manager of Thunder Valley Casino Resort, and will continue with the traditional blessing from Buddhist priest Master Sau Hoang.  Two lions will be awakened by dotting the eyes or “dien chin” by Graham and the two lions will perform along with a dancing dragon around the restaurant’s main dining room.
