Placer County K-9 sniffs out 175 pounds of pot

A Placer County Sheriff’s K-9 sniffed out a large cache of marijuana in the truck of a Calistoga  man who was passing through Loomis Tuesday night. 

At around 10 p.m., Thomas Franklin Williams, 51, was stopped by a  deputy on Interstate 80, near Horseshoe Bar Road in Loomis, for a  vehicle code violation. Williams was found to be driving on a suspended license.
