Effective March 1, 2012, the Lincoln Transit System will be raising its rates. The decision to increase the rates is a result of three factors: The agency's efforts to stay consistent with local regional transit systems; their efforts to stay in compliance with fare box requirements; and the decrease of grants and subsidy distributions over several years.
