Assemblyman Pan bill aimed at stopping registration fraud
The Senate Committee on Elections and Constitutional Amendments last week passed legislation authored by Dr. Richard Pan, who represents Granite Bay, to prohibit the kinds of cash bounties Momentum Political Services paid to its staff that resulted in Sacramento County residents being registered as Republicans without their consent.
Specifically, the bill would stop incentivizing fraudulent registrations by prohibiting anyone from paying individuals for each registration card they deliver.
