Sam Aanestad to run for Congress

Local politicos have confirmed former California Senator Sam Aanestad (R-Grass Valley) will run for the 1st Congressional District seat, which includes some Placer County communities. 

Aanestad's foray into the race will create an inner-party battle with California Senator Doug LaMalfa (R-Biggs) and Pete Stiglich.
