Free Medication Take-back Day

Keeping our kids and water drug-free


FREE Anonymous drop-off of unused and expired medication
Saturday April 27, 2013
10 am - 2 pm


Acceptable medications:
  • prescription
  • non-prescription (over the counter)
  • controlled substances
  • veterinary medications
Unacceptable:
  • no sharps or lancets
  • no medical waste
  • no illicit drugs
  • no aerosols or hydrogen peroxide
Empty pills from bottle into plastic bag & seal. Keep liquids in original bottle.

In Western Placer County, medication take back day is a collaborative effort of Auburn, Lincoln, Rocklin, Roseville and Placer County law enforcement, water quality, and public health entities as well as local schools, the Coalition for Placer Youth, the Placer Youth Commission and the DEA.

In Tahoe-Area, medication take back day is A collaborative effort of TT-FWDD (Tahoe Truckee Future without Drug Dependence), Placer County Sheriff, Placer and Nevada County Health and Human Services, Tahoe Forest HospitalDistrict, Truckee Police Department, Safeway Stores, water quality, waste management, Town of Truckee, and the DEA.
